Kemmy Moran is a screenwriter, director, and producer. She began her career working at the Institute, a production company co-owned by Michael Bay – that produces commercials for Michael Kors, Victoria's Secret, and others. While pursuing a screenwriting career, Kemmy worked with Sundance-winning director and writer Matthew Harrison, serving as co-chair of his screenplay competition and film festival Film Crash, now in its 32nd year. After her second screenplay placed in the Academy’s prestigious Nicholl screenplay competition, Kemmy decided to use her law degree from Pepperdine University to co-found her own production company: MissDirection Entertainment.
Julie L. Moran is a producer, writer, and screenwriter who has more than 25 years' experience in the profession, with several published books, magazine articles, and stories. Her recent short story, "Lunch With Debbie" earned her a grand prize in the Writer's Digest 79th Annual Writing Competition. Julie received her Masters of Professional Writing degree with top honors from the University of Southern California where she studied and worked with several outstanding professors, including Pulitzer prize nominee Gina Nahai (Cry of the Peacock, Caspian Rain), non-fiction author Madelyn Cain (LAFFIT: Anatomy of a Winner, The Biography of Laffit Pincay, Jr), and screenwriter Stephen Mazur (Liar Liar). She is also an attorney, earning a law degree from Fordham University School of Law, where she was a member of and published in the Fordham Law Review and served as an editor of the Fordham International Law Journal.
