After our teen comedy drama Miss Beverly Hills Ghost was screened at the Studio City International Film Festival in November of 2016, the co-writers and creators Kemmy Moran and Julie L. Moran were awarded a gold statuette for Best Web Series.

Miss Beverly Hills Ghost wins award for Best Premise at LA Webfest

Miss Beverly Hills Ghost was screened at the prestigious LA Webfest at Sony Studios in April 2017 and nominated for 7 awards, including outstanding drama web series, web series premise, lead actress, composer, cinematography, editing, and directing. LA Webfest – which L.A. Magazine calls “the Sundance of Web Festivals” – was established in 2010. At the awards ceremony, which was held in the Cary Grant theater at Sony Studios, director Kemmy Moran and her co-writer Julie L. Moran received the Outstanding Series Premise in a Drama award. 

Our teen drama series Miss Beverly Hills Ghost received the Award Of Merit Special Mention in The Accolade Global Film Competition, which included a gold-plated statuette. In winning an Accolade, MissDirection Entertainment joins the ranks of other high-profile winners of this internationally-respected award, including the Oscar award-winning production of The Lady in Number Six by Malcolm Clarke, the very talented Dave Bossert of Disney for his short documentary, The Tunes Behind The Toons, Hollywood industry veteran Ron Howard for When You Find Me and Highwire Films Australia for their popular ABC TV series twentysomething.  
 
“It was a huge honor, and we’re so happy MBHG received such a noteworthy award as The Accolade,” executive producer and writer Julie Moran commented on the recent win.  
 
Rick Prickett, who chairs The Accolade Global Film Competition, had this to say about the latest winners: “The Accolade is not an easy award to win. Entries are received from around the world from powerhouse companies to remarkable new talent. The Accolade helps set the standard for craft and creativity. The judges were pleased with the exceptional high quality of entries. The goal of The Accolade is to help winners achieve the recognition they deserve.”

Our teen comedy drama Miss Beverly Hills Ghost won Best Web Series in the 2016 Glendale International Film Festival. The award came after six of our series episodes were screened at the Pacific Theatres at the Americana, where the cast and filmmakers answered questions from the audience. Julie and Kemmy Moran of MissDirection Entertainment, who co-wrote the teen drama series, accepted the award from festival founder Velvet Rhodes.
 

Connect Film Festival of Melbourne, Australia selected our web series Miss Beverly Hills Ghost as a finalist in its 2016 festival. Now in its fifth year, Connect holds both a festival in Melbourne, Australia as well as a screening series in Texas. Director of this teen drama series Kemmy Moran stated that she felt “elated that MBHG is gaining international recognition” after hearing the news.
 

The Berlin Webfest selected our web series Miss Beverly Hills Ghost for the 2016 festival! Kemmy and Julie Moran attended the red carpet and screening in Berlin.

After premiering at the Landmark Theater in Los Angeles, Miss Beverly Hills Ghost won the Audience Award in the prestigious New Media Film Festival. Now in its 8th year, the festival gives out over $45,000 in awards and includes judges from HBO, Marvel, the Emmys, the Grammys, the Oscars, and other industry leaders. Director Kemmy Moran accepted the generous Audience Award package from P4STV’s CEO John Fluke at the New Media Film Festival awards ceremony. Kemmy and co-writer and executive producer Julie Moran also had the honor of speaking on a New Media Q&A panel with fellow filmmakers and nominees, including British actress Lucy Davis (The Office, Shaun of the Dead) and legendary guitarist Caleb Quaye. 

Miss Beverly Hills Ghost won First Place Web Episode at the Indie Gathering International Film Festival, now in its 21st year! The episode was screened at the festival which was held in Hudson, Ohio in August, and the series awarded first place at the Indie Gathering’s awards ceremony. 

Miss Beverly Hills Ghost is an Official Selection in the Studio City International Film Festival, and will be screened this November in the Cap Studio.
